Re-usable microfiber, the green, earth friendly method vs. disposable floor cleaning methods (grocery store disposable systems) – not earth friendly.

Microfiber pads can be thrown in the washer with your bath mat or throw rugs or even your towels depending on how dirty they are.  Warm water wash (hot water will breakdown the “micro fibers”) no bleach, no fabric softener, hang to dry.

The fibers are actually "micro" in size which catch more dirt and bacteria.

The beauty of microfiber pads is that you can put 4-5, or however many you might need to complete your floor cleaning, in a bucket or the sink with a bit of neutral cleaner. Let the pads soak in there for a minute, take one out, hand wring it, attach to the frame and clean an area until you think the pad is soiled. Take the soiled pad and put it in a dirty pile. Take a fresh pad from the solution bucket/sink and repeat. No cross contamination and no streaking. Streaking is usually due to 1) dirty mop ~ which we’ve just eliminated by using multiple pads, 2) dirty cleaning solution ~ we didn’t put anything dirty into it to contaminate it, or 3) too much neutral clean ~ too much product is never good.

Microfiber pads can also be used to spot clean floors.   Spot cleaning with prepared solution that you makeIf there’s a portion of the floor that needs cleaned up,  like around the stove or sink, simply make up a little solution in a spray bottle, give a few squirts to the floor and run the wet microfiber pad over the area.  Fantastic!
